| Posted: February 23, 2009 8:37 PM | | | | I've noticed slower than normal page loading when I switch between the functional tabs...database, forums, etc. Been like that for a couple of days now. | | | Last edited: February 23, 2009 8:38 PM by mdnitoil |

Might it be something to do with trans-atlantic servers? As I have no trouble with any Euro based websites, but often have trouble with trans-Atkantic ones.

Intra-continental communication has multiple paths it can follow to route around trouble/slow spots but inter-continental communication has to route through much fewer pipelines. Even though these pipelines have far greater capacities, it's still a bottleneck.
Try performing a tracert between you and Invelos. It should help to isolate where the bottleneck is. |

| Posted: February 24, 2009 5:41 PM | | | | I occasionaly get slow page loads so it isn't just a European thing. It has been fine today but some days it is slow and, once in a while, the pages will time out and I will have to refresh them. It's just something I have learned to live with. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |
