| Posted: February 22, 2008 12:09 AM | | | | I am wondering about the following titles and how they are listed in the database. Dreamer: Inspired by a True Story (678149-197624) Open Water ... listed like that ... why not Open Water: Based on True Events? (031398-167341) Patch Adams ... listed like that ... why not Patch Adams: Based on a True Story? (025192-054624) Radio ... listed like that ... why not Radio: Inspired by a True Story? (043396-013070) Shadowlands ... listed like that ... why not Shadowlands: Based on a True Story? (026359-096822) We Are Marshall ... listed like that ... why not We Are Marshall: A True Story? (012569-835122) Would like to get a clarification when the "sub-title" should be used. | Posted: February 22, 2008 12:34 AM | | | | What about this one - is it "An Inconvenient Truth: A Global Warning" or just "An Inconvenient Truth"? Edit: sorry - the image is a bit small but the "A Global Warning" is the smaller print under the first title line | | | Last edited: February 22, 2008 12:36 AM by Michael 666 |

| Posted: February 22, 2008 12:39 AM | | | | I am only asking because when the first movie in this thread was originally being contributed I remember ones that did NOT include that line were getting NO votes. I personally feel that it does not need to be in there, but wanted to see what others feel before I recontribute it WITHOUT that line.

| Posted: February 22, 2008 12:56 AM | | | | I just noticed something that I should have looked at BEFORE making this thread.
On the back of the DVD it does indeed say "Dreamer: Inspired by a True Story" and it is in quotes that makes it the correct title.
So I guess it will stand as it is ...

Mark That's a negative Mark. The "credit block" is used only to determine Possessives not the title of the film. The title comes from the DVD Cover . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |
