| Posted: March 31, 2016 2:57 AM | | | | I just recently switched Routers. I never had a problem connecting my iPhone 6plus and iPad 2 to my laptop with my old netgear router. I just got a new linksys AC1200+ router. I am not able to connect either device to the PC. All devices are connected to the new router. I changed the IP address in the app and double checked all settings in the options tab on the PC. All I get is a messenger saying "Unable to Connect". I reconnected the old netgear router, and everything worked fine. Can anyone tell me why the new router will not let anything connect and how to go about fixing it? |

Is there a firewall active in your new router? Is your router basically allowing communication between connected devices? Check for appropriate settings.
Make sure to start DVD Profiler on the PC after your PC has established its network connection with the router. Otherwise it might show something like "shared on 'hostname' (127.0.0.1) ..." in its status bar. | | | Best Regards |
